What is SME:Green 2.0?
SME: Grøn 2.0 is a voucher scheme funded by the EU, which gives your company the opportunity to apply for DKK 50,000-150,000 in grants for investments, consultancy or a combination of both.
The purpose of the scheme is to support your company's green initiatives with a view to reducing the consumption of resources and the amount of waste and thus promoting sustainable development.
Grants can be applied for advice and investment (but not investment in energy conversion, heat pumps, solar cells, district heating, etc.) Investment and advice can stand alone or be combined in between.
There are a total of 8 vouchers. However, only one voucher can be applied for at a time.
The investment grant is 25% and the advisory grant is 50%.
When can you apply?
Application rounds:
- 13 September – 11 October 2023
- 12 October – 15 November 2023
- 16 November – 13 December 2023
- 14 December 2023 – 24 January 2024

Investment grant
When applying, the investment must be clarified and relevant to your company's circular economy. The investment subsidy can, among other things, include:
- Certifications
- Environmental labels
- New software
- New machinery or equipment
- Testing of existing equipment
Consulting grant
- Clarification and identification
Support to find out how your company can make things more environmentally friendly, such as redesigning products, processes or reducing waste.
- Circular business models
Help to develop more sustainable business models and work processes.
- Market promotion
Support to increase demand for environmentally friendly solutions and products.
- Green transition
Opportunities to collaborate with other companies and build capacity to become more environmentally friendly.
- Testing of solutions
Means to test and evaluate environmentally friendly ideas and solutions for your company.
At NGS, we can advise and help you with your sustainability reports. This can, among other things, include advice for ESG , LCA or and/or climate accounting .
In addition, we can also be helpful with technical advice in the form of technology research, dimensioning and much more.
The conditions for receiving a voucher
- Market research is a necessary step, regardless of whether you are applying for a grant for investment or advice. If you combine both, both aspects need market research.
- You can only apply for one voucher at a time and there are a total of eight vouchers available. Therefore, you can only have one active support period at a time.
- There is cash co-financing in the program
- There is a mandatory start-up meeting held online. This meeting examines, among other things, the process in detail and takes place when your application has been approved, but before the grant documents are sent for signature.
